How do I know this is a real company and not an internet scam?
Good question! In my opinion, the best way to see if a company is real is to check out their social media and see if it has been around for a while or not, and seems like it’s run by real people. So check us out out on Facebook or Instagram. You can also check out our owner’s personal social media as well, if you’re still skeptical. We’re not going to link to those so he doesn’t get a bunch of spam, but they are /tylerappel on Facebook, and @tylermappel on Instagram.
Social media alone doesn’t do it for me, any other way to prove you’re legit?

Customizations
Sizes
Do you do custom sizes?
Yes. Everything is made to order, so just order the next size up (for both the L and W) and put in the order notes (or email us) what you want. Ex: You want 42"x23", order 47"x23". You want 42"x24", order 47"x28".
Lower height?
Yes. Free. Put it in the order notes or an email.
Higher height?
Yes. Order the counter-height upgrade (even if you're just wanting a coffee table at 20") and tell us how high you want it.
Longer than 70”, or wider than 35” (if the length is over 47”)?
No, sorry. So no 60” x 40”, for example. (Or, we can, but the shipping will cost as much as or more than the table).
Color Customization
Custom colors?
Yes! HERE is our custom color upgrade listing! Tell us what you're thinking in the order notes or an email and we'll do some digital mockups and send them to you. From there you can choose one of those mockups, or request more (we'll do as many as necessary until we get the design right).
What if I just want to change one board and don't need to see a mockup?
That's free, BUT we don't accept returns because you don't like the design if you decided to not purchase the custom color upgrade and be able to see a mockup beforehand.
Leg color change?
Yes, free.
Shelf color change?
Yes, free.
Just put any of these changes in the order notes at checkout (or in a message after you order).
Other FAQs
I want a different style/design as a table/desk but I don't see that listing?
(For example: you want the Wren, but as a dining table or coffee table or something). Free. Order a table in a different style and just put it in the order notes (another example, you could order a Westley coffee table and put in the order notes or a message that you want it as the Wren with white legs). Same thing for matching side tables or a console table.
More than one shelf? Shelf at a different height?
Yes and yes. An extra shelf will cost more (message us), while a shelf at a different height is free.
Drawers? Keyboard trays? Round tables? Shelving units?
No, sorry!
Everything is built to order and we can do lots of customizations, just let us know.
Can I pick it up?
Yes, and it will be cheaper. Email us.
How much is shipping?
Free to the contiguous U.S.
Can you expedite it?
Yes, email us.
What type of wood is it?
We use all maple hardwood (real, solid wood), sustainably harvested from the Appalachian region of the USA.
How do you get the different colors?
Wood stain.
Do you build these yourselves?
Yes, we build everything in our shop in rural north Florida. The only things we don't create ourselves are the metal legs that are on a few of our listings.
Is there a coating on the table?
Yes, there's a protective coating of water-based polyurethane, so you can use it (INSIDE!) like a normal table (no coasters necessary). Just be careful of scratching it because it is real wood.
Do you sell the chairs?
We don't actually build or sell the chairs you see in some listings, only (backless) stools and benches. You should be able to find the chairs on Bed Bath and Beyond's website if you search "Simple Living Venice spindle chairs." Or on Overstock. At the time of writing this, one carries 4-packs, while the other carries 2-packs.

Additional Details
Assembly
We've worked hard to make the assembly process as easy as possible, so when you receive your table you'll only need to attach the legs. Assembly takes approximately 5-10 minutes.
Finish on Table
We finish each table top with up to three coats of a water based polyurethane in a satin finish. This provides a very durable surface that is FDA approved food safe. Note: These tables are made using natural wood so they can still scratch and dent.

Weight Capacity
We don't have an exact weight limit but we've had multiple people stand on them at the same time so that's easily over 300lb. Note: we don't recommend testing this yourself.

Shipping is Free! We even fully insure all our packages at no additional cost to you.
Shipping Times
Currently our orders are shipping out in 3-4 weeks. We'll keep you up to date on the progress and send you the tracking information once it's shipped.
Shipping Carrier
We ship everything via UPS ground so ship times can vary depending on location.
Tracking
When you place an order we're quick to provide you information to keep you up to date along the process. Once your package is shipped we'll send you a notification with the tracking information.
Shipping to Hawaii & Alaska
We do ship to Hawaii & Alaska but additional charges apply. We can't ship to a PO Box, so we'll need a physical address. For the exact cost please reach out to our customer support.
